Prayer of Adoration or Praise:
We say together ……..  Psalm 108

Silent Confession:  ……………..…
followed by words of forgiveness and pardon (Leader)

Prayer of Thanksgiving:   We say together …
Almighty God, Father of all mercies, we your unworthy servants give you humble thanks for all your goodness and loving-kindness to us and to all whom you have made. We bless you for our creation, preservation, and all the blessings of this life; but above all for your immeasurable love in the redemption of the world by our Lord Jesus Christ; for the means of grace, and for the hope of glory. And, we pray, give us such an awareness of your mercies, that with truly thankful hearts we may show forth your praise, not only with our lips, but in our lives, by giving up ourselves to your service, and by walking before you in holiness and righteousness all our days; through Jesus Christ our Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be honour and glory throughout all ages. Amen.

Verses for reflection : Hebrews 7: 15-25  (Jesus like Melchizedek)

15 And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears,  16 one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life.  17 For it is declared: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”  18 The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless  19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.  20 And it was not without an oath! Others became priests without any oath,  21 but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him: “The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: ‘You are a priest forever.’ ”  22 Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant.  23 Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office;  24 but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood.  25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

Verses for reflection :  Mark 7:24-30 Jesus honours a Syrophoenician Woman's Faith

24 Jesus left that place and went to the vicinity of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know it; yet he could not keep his presence secret. 25 In fact, as soon as she heard about him, a woman whose little daughter was possessed by an impure spirit came and fell at his feet. 26 The woman was a Greek, born in Syrian Phoenicia. She begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter. 27 “First let the children eat all they want,” he told her, “for it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to the dogs.” 28 “Lord,” she replied, “even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.” 29 Then he told her, “For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter.” 30 She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
